Popular Nigerian actor and producer, Femi Adebayo, has expressed excitement after his Netflix original series, ‘Seven Doors’ secured an impressive 11 nominations at the 11th edition of the Africa Magic Viewers’ Choice Awards (AMVCA).
Announcing the feat in a post on his verified Facebook account on Monday, Adebayo described the achievement as a major landmark in his career.
He wrote, “11 NOMINATIONS! ‘SEVEN DOORS’ OPENS UP 11 NOMINATIONS AT AMVCA 11! .
“What an incredible milestone! #SevenDoors has knocked down 11 nominations at the 11th Africa Magic Viewers’ Choice Awards (AMVCA)!

Seven Doors was nominated in key categories including Best Lead Actor, Best Lead Actress, Best Supporting Actor, Best Indigenous Language Film (West Africa), Best Scripted Series, Best Score Music, Best Director, Best Make-Up, Best Art, Best Sound and Sound Design, and Best Writer.
The nominees for this year’s AMVCA were officially unveiled on Sunday, spotlighting some of the continent’s most outstanding talents in film, television, and digital entertainment.
Organised by MultiChoice Nigeria, the AMVCAs celebrate excellence in African storytelling, recognising achievements across 27 award categories, 18 of which will be decided by a jury, while nine are open to public voting.
The 2025 awards ceremony is scheduled to take place on May 10, while voting for public categories remains open until May 4 via the Africa Magic website. This year’s edition will also include two honorary recognitions, namely the Lifetime Achievement and Trailblazer Awards.
