Sani Musa Danja, a popular movie star in Kannywood has revealed the three movie roles he will never take and why.

Sani, who is popularly referred to as ‘Zarkin Arewa’ meaning the Lion of the North, clearly stated that he will not take up any of the three roles even in paid a billion dollars in a recent interview with The Punch.

The singer and actor stressed in a recent interview that he will never act the three roles for reasons bothering on his career, environment, and religion.

Here are the three roles Sani Danja will never take up

Playing a homosexual

Sani Danja says he will never take up the role of a homosexual. He says it’s not proper for him to take up such a role as it’s against his beliefs, religion, and society.

Playing a crossdresser

The ‘Zarkin Arewa’ says he can’t take up the role of a crossdresser for a movie. He says men shouldn’t act like women and no matter the amount offered him to take the role, he will turn it down.

Taking up a sex role

Sani Danja boldly said a scene where one has to be intimate is not for his religion. He went on to say he can never act in sex scenes no matter the amount he’s offered. However, Danja says he can only hug or kiss in movies. 

The 46-year-old Danja, who is married Mansura Isa and has four children became an instant hit on the Hausa movie industry when he featured in a 1999 film, ‘Dalibai’. In 2012, he made his Nollywood debut in the film, ‘Daughter of the River.’
