Nigerian rapper, Ice Prince, has dismissed speculations that his recent weight loss was caused by illness or drug use.
The rapper, known for hits like Oleku, faced a flood of reactions on social media after photos of his slimmer physique surfaced, with some fans expressing concern about his health while others accused him of substance abuse.
Addressing the rumours in a post on X, the 38-year-old artiste explained that his transformation was the result of healthier choices, not health challenges.
“God so good inna me life… A short story!! I was literally about to explode. No sickness (bless God), just bad habits and choices. But then Chopstix and Dami said, ‘Let’s lose the belly Ice,’ and that really sparked something in my brain that got me activated,” he wrote.
Ice Prince revealed that his childhood friend, music producer Chopstix, played a key role in his fitness journey, visiting his house every night for an hour-long walk after dinner.
“My brother Chopstix started coming to my house every day after dinner and we both walked my estate for an hour… our talks during those walks are priceless to me, just like every other thing we’ve talked about since we were kids,” he added.
The rapper, who turns 39 on October 30, announced plans to release new music to mark his birthday.
“It is my birthday on October 30 and I will be dropping new music in my new body. Next year na full chest lol. But please note, if nature didn’t make it, please don’t take it. Health is wealth! See you in three days,” he wrote.
