Federal Ministry of Education approves five new National Diploma pograms for PEFTI

The Federal Ministry of Education, acting through the National Board for Technical Education (NBTE), has accredited five new National Diploma (ND) programs at the Premier Entertainment and Film Technology Institute (PEFTI). This significant upgrade comes on the heels of the institution being named “Best Innovation Enterprise Institution in Nigeria” for two consecutive academic years.

The newly approved programs are National Diplomas in Business Administration and Management, Fashion Design & Clothing Technology, Mass Communication, Multimedia Technology, and Music Technology. This expansion broadens the career-focused curriculum offered by the institute.

Registrar Abiola Adenuga highlighted the milestone as a reflection of PEFTI’s enduring mission. “For 21 years, PEFTI has remained committed to educating and empowering youths across Nigeria and beyond,” Adenuga stated. “This accreditation affirms our dedication to quality, industry-relevant training and global-standard facilities. It opens even greater opportunities for young people to build careers and shape the future of our creative and entrepreneurial sectors.”

The announcement follows PEFTI’s recent double victory at the National Tertiary Admissions Performance-Merit Awards (NATAP-M), where it secured the top institutional award for the 2023/2024 and 2024/2025 sessions. The awards were presented on July 8, 2025, at the Bola Ahmed Tinubu International Conference Centre in Abuja.
