Drama erupted in the Big Brother Naija Season 10 house as an argument between housemates Zita and Rooboy escalated into a physical confrontation after a team task on Thursday night.
The confrontation began during Team Pineapple’s game session when Zita accused Rooboy of disrupting the performance of her group.She criticized him harshly for “blowing things out of proportion” and not knowing how to manage situations.
Rooboy, however, defended himself, insisting he had already apologised to the team
“I just know your teammates were pairing and I apologised,” he explained, turning to other housemates for confirmation.
“Sultana, Mensan, I no apologise to una?” he asked.
Zita refused to accept his explanation, stating that Rooboy never personally apologised to her. Another housemate, Kola, stepped in, suggesting that Rooboy’s apology may have been general and not directed at her specifically.
What began as a heated exchange soon turned into trade of insults.
Rooboy snapped, calling Zita “stupid,” to which she sharply retaliated, “You’re also very stupid, dumb ass man.”
The quarrel intensified, with Zita shouting: “Don’t piss me off, Rooboy.” Rooboy taunted back: “If I piss you off, what are you going to do?” The argument boiled over when Zita threw a plate of Indomie at him. In retaliation, Rooboy hit her, leaving the other housemates stunned.
Isabella immediately confronted Zita, questioning why she provoked him by throwing food at him.
The altercation, involving both a physical violence and an object being hurled, is expected to draw disciplinary action from the show’s organisers.
As with other global versions of reality TV shows, Big Brother Naija strictly prohibits physical confrontations or behaviours that endangers other housemates.
