BBNaija fame is too quick, hard to sustain – Ceec

Big Brother Naija Star and TV personality, Cynthia Nwadiora, popularly known as Ceec, has shed light on the disadvantages of gaining fame through the Big Brother platform.

Speaking on a podcast session with fellow ex-housemate Boma Akpore, Ceec highlighted that while the BBNaija show is a life-changing platform, it comes with its own unique set of challenges, especially regarding longevity in the entertainment industry.

Ceec stressed that the sudden transition from obscurity to stardom can sometimes create a shaky foundation for many ex-housemates.

She noted that they are thrown into the spotlight without the gradual process of networking, nurturing industry ties, or learning the ropes of sustaining a long-term career.

“One of the disadvantages of coming into the game through Big Brother is that it’s quick. Like you’re nobody today and you come out of the house and people know you. You don’t get to build relationships that you need to survive in the industry,” she said.

Cynthia Nwadiora first gained popularity after appearing as a housemate on Big Brother Naija season 3, where she finished as the runner-up, and later returned for Big Brother Naija season 8 All Stars, finishing in third place.
