Cynthia Okereke, Agbogidi regain freedom after six days in kidnappers den

Cynthia Okereke and Clemson Agbogidi, the two Nollywood stars that were kidnapped on Thursday, July 28, 2022, have been released by their abductors.

The release of the two movie practitioners by their abductors was announced by the Actors Guild of Nigeria, AGN, on Wednesday evening, August 3, 2022.

In a statement released by AGN, the movie stars were released unhurt and in healthy conditions.

Another social media post by the National President of AGN, Emeka Rollas said the actors were already reunited with their families.

Both the AGN President and the official communication from the body, did not say if ransom was paid to secure the release of the actors.

On Saturday, July 30, 2022, the abductors of the movie stars had reportedly contacted their families, demanding $100,000 as ransom.

Clemson Agbogidi and Cynthia Okereke were kidnapped on Thursday, July 29, while they were returning from a movie set at Ozalla town in Enugu State.
