Victony recounts accident one year after

Music artiste, Anthony Victor, better known as Victony, has recounted the near fatal accident that trapped him in a wheelchair for months.

The life threatening accident which happened on April 26, 2021, also led to the loss of the singer’s close friend, Doyin, who was with him when the car crashed.

In an Instagram post on Tuesday, the music act noted that everyone feared for his life the day the accident happened.

He stated that during that period, he drew strength from God and his fans, called the Outlaws.

“On this day last year, everyone feared for my life. I lived in the dark for a while, as I kept drawing strength from God and the Outlaws.

“Together, we reversed the darkest time of my life into a blessing, look how far we’ve come. Today symbolises victory for all OUTLAWS.”

Remembering his late friend, Victony said, “April 26, DONYIZZYDAY, rest in God’s arm, Doyin.”

The singer underwent major surgery after the accident, which happened while he was returning home from a birthday party in the company of his friends.

After the surgery, he was confined to a wheelchair, but still released new tracks and featured in Mayorkun’s song, Holyfather.

On December 25, 2021, he gave his fans a special Christmas gift as he stood up to perform for the first time since the accident happened.

Since then, Victony has been seen walking with the use of an aid, until very recently when the singer performed on stage without the walking aid.
