GTCO’s FSHN WKND features top designers and masterclasses
GTCO’s seventh fashion weekend, FSHN WKND dazzled fashion lovers on November 9th and 10th. Themed “Fashion Moves Forward,” the two-day event will feature masterclasses, runway shows, sales, and exhibitions, with a special focus on Africa’s and international designers.
The event will feature over 140 free exhibition booths, offering fashion enthusiasts and the public a unique shopping experience. “We’re having over 140 free exhibition booths, so fashion enthusiasts and the entire public can come and shop for those two days,” stated the head of Group Corporate Communications GTCO Plc, Charles Eremi. The aim is to create opportunities for both local and global fashion experts to connect and share their insights.
The masterclass sessions will include renowned industry figures such as Lulu Kennedy, Patricia Bright, Sheika Daley, and Ted Gibson. Eremi emphasized the value of these sessions, saying, “If one is interested in fashion, even as an idea, you can find out how these persons established their own concept and grew it to become world-renowned.”
Presentation stage designers set to showcase their work include Ninie, Lohije, Jewel Jamila, Moyo Africa, Ibilola Ogundipe, and Elpia Megalio. The runway lineups will feature acclaimed designers such as Gert Johan Coetzee, Onalaja, Orire, Hue by Idera, Romeo Hunte, Sukeina, Eric Raisina, and Selly Raby Kane, among others. “We’re hoping this year, like all the others, it will be an improvement from what we already have going,” Eremi expressed.
Eremi assured that GTCO is dedicated to ensuring a top-notch experience, investing not just funds but significant time into crafting events that will delight consumers and Nigerians alike. “We want attendees to have the best retail experience in fashion that you can think of. The concepts are unique,” said Eremi. He added, “The facade, from the moment you walk in, is entirely new. The experience itself is amazing. The ambience is something we focused on as well.”
