Ooni of Ife commends MTN for promoting Olojo Festival

The Ooni of Ife, Oba Adeyeye Enitan Ogunwusi, Ojaja II, has commended MTN Nigeria for its role in making the 2021 Olojo Festival a success through its sponsorship of the event.

He gave the commendation during a courtesy visit by MTN’s delegation to the Ooni’s Palace. The delegation, led by the Chief Sales Officer, MTN Nigeria, Adekunle Adebiyi, also included the Senior Manager Sales and Distribution, Ifeanyi Udom and Manager Sales and Distribution, Oyebimpe Akinsola.

The Olojo Festival is an annual cultural festival to celebrate the day the Almighty created the earth.

The celebration is preceded by seven-day seclusion by the Ooni of Ife. This year, Oba Ogunwusi dedicated his time in seclusion to praying for a better Nigeria.

The Ooni also expressed his elation by the efforts of the telco in ensuring that there was seamless network connectivity throughout the duration of the Festival. MTN also used the opportunity to affirm its commitment to promoting Nigeria’s rich culture and support the passions of Nigerians across the countries.

Speaking during the visit, Chief Sales Officer, MTN Nigeria, Adekunle Adebiyi said, “At MTN, we are always excited about promoting the amazing cultures and heritage in communities we operate in. It is a great privilege to be a part of the 2021 Olojo Festival which further establishes our love for everything Nigerian.”
