Regina King gets a Hollywood walk of fame recognition
Academy award-winning actress Regina King has been cemented in Hollywood’s history with her own star on the Hollywood walk of fame.
The actress was honoured with the momentous recognition on October 28, 2021, at the forecourt of the TCL Chinese Theatre.
“This means so much,” King said during the ceremony. “A lot of people are going to see this and they’re going to think it comes from ‘The Wizard of Oz’, but it comes from my beginning.”
“There’s not a time limit, there’s not a stale date on achieving your dreams,” King added. “If you love what you do, you should never stop working at it.”
King broke into Hollywood in 1980s television series ‘227’ and in 2019, she won an Academy award and a Golden Globe for her role in the film adaptation of James Baldwin’s novel ‘If Beale Street Could Talk’.
King’s hall of fame recognition comes amid publicity for Jeymes Samuel’s All-black Western ‘The Harder They Fall’ where she stars as Treacherous Trudy, a ruthless outlaw.
