Relationship coach, Blessing CEO announces engagement to IVD

Popular relationship therapist and social media personality, Blessing Okoro, widely known as Blessing CEO, has set the internet buzzing with a heartfelt announcement: She’s officially engaged to controversial businessman Ikechukwu Ogbonna, aka IVD.

Taking to her Instagram page, Blessing CEO shared the big news with her fans in an emotionally charged caption:

“I SAID YES….. @ivd001  For the first time, I did not want drama. For the first time, I did not want the noise. I just wanted peace and softness! To hear our heartbeat as 1 and hear you breathe into my face. Let’s do this together as we take this journey forever. YES, YES, YES, I WILL MARRY YOU. IKECHUKWU DARRY OGBONNA.”

The post, adorned with a photo of the couple in an intimate moment, has reignited discussions about their relationship, a pairing that has been surrounded by both speculation and controversy.

Blessing CEO and IVD have been linked romantically since late 2022, shortly after the tragic death of IVD’s wife, Bimbo Ogbonna, in October of that year.

Bimbo’s death followed a violent domestic incident that shocked Nigerians and stirred widespread debate about toxic relationships and domestic abuse.

At the time, IVD was accused by Bimbo’s family of long-standing abuse, and he was taken into police custody pending investigations.

In a surprising twist, Blessing CEO publicly came to IVD’s defense, asserting his innocence and claiming that Bimbo had mental health challenges.

She even took to Instagram Live to share alleged voice notes and chats between the couple, an action that drew heavy backlash and led to her brief arrest in March 2023 by the Nigerian Police Force for cyberbullying and libel against Bimbo’s family.

Despite the controversy, Blessing CEO insisted her intentions were pure and that she was speaking out as a relationship expert concerned about the facts.

While she denied being romantically involved with IVD at the time, many speculated that the two were already more than just friends.

Her engagement to IVD, whom she once called misunderstood, may raise questions among her audience, particularly women who have followed her for advice on navigating emotionally healthy relationships.

Still, with this new chapter, she appears ready to step away from noise into what she calls “peace.” Whether this union marks redemption, rebellion, or redefinition is yet to be seen.
