Sanwo-Olu embraces innovation, integrates alternative security measures for a safer Lagos

In a bold move towards a more comprehensive and proactive approach to public safety, Lagos State governor, Babajide Sanwo-Olu, has integrated alternative security measures into the state’s overall security plan.

This groundbreaking initiative marks a significant departure from traditional, reactive methods and embraces innovative solutions that address the evolving nature of security threats.

Governor Sanwo-Olu’s security plan recognizes that effective security goes beyond simply increasing police presence or constructing additional security infrastructure. It acknowledges the crucial role of technology, community engagement, and data-driven insights in preventing crime and ensuring public safety.

Sanwo-Olu is quietly revolutionizing effective security delivery in Lagos. Aside heavily funding regular and conventional security apparatus in Lagos, there’s something others need to learn from Babajide Sanwo-Olu in the very creative way he is deploying Alternative security in information and intelligence gathering in the state to keep Lagos and Lagosians safe. It must also be noted that through his ingenuity the menace of Area Boys harassment has drastically reduced as a result of their inclusion in the security network of the state and this is very commendable.

Our efforts to speak with the key actor helping drive this ingenious creation of Babajide Sanwo-Olu proved abortive as he directed us to the governor claiming he is only carrying out directives and instructions of the Mr Governor to ensure the inner cities, highways and neighborhoods of Lagos are kept safe for Lagosians.
