Lagos State Governor, Mr Babajide Sanwo-Olu, has congratulated the Ayangburen of Ikorodu and Vice Chairman of the Lagos State Council of Obas and Chiefs, Oba Kabiru Adewale Shotobi, on his 10th coronation anniversary, describing the monarch as a visionary leader with an endless quest for the upliftment of his subjects.
Governor Sanwo-Olu said this in a statement issued on Saturday by his Special Adviser on Media and Publicity, Mr Gboyega Akosile, noting that Oba Shotobi’s visionary leadership had fostered an era of unprecedented growth and prosperity in Ikorodu.
The governor celebrated Oba Shotobi on his 10th anniversary as the paramount ruler of Ikorodu, saying he deserved all the accolades for the impactful and purposeful life he has lived, especially in the last 10 years of his reign as the Ayangburen of Ikorodu.
Sanwo-Olu said that since ascending the throne of his forefathers 10 years ago, the monarch had displayed exemplary leadership in his domain, adding that his commitment to peace, unity, and progress is well known and deeply respected.
Besides, he said that Oba Shotobi’s reign as the Ayangburen of Ikorodu “has been a beacon of wisdom, benevolence and cultural heritage, enriching the lives of his subjects and the larger Lagos State populace.”
“On behalf of my family, the Government and the people of Lagos State, I congratulate Oba Kabiru Shotobi on his 10th coronation as the paramount ruler of Ikorodu.
