Dibias are also known as ogba afa in Igbo traditional culture and they are traditional healers, spiritual guides, and masters of esoteric knowledge, often considered to possess special metaphysical insights and skills to help people navigate the spiritual and physical world.
Once upon a time in a community named BenKpo, there lived an innocent Dibia, who was equally a two-faced personality.
This Dibia is so powerful with the gift of healing and special metaphysical insights but uses music to perform his healing and communication. Whenever he opens his mouth to praise and adore the gods of the land, he does it to the joy of not only the gods of the land but also gods of men and equally mere mortals, who dance joyously to his tunes.
His voice would readily melt the hearts of young virgins of the land and even the married women in the community get wet between their thighs. Such is the greatness of the powerful Dibia.
He was well decorated for his outstanding gift and became famous across the community and outside the shores of his father’s land. He attained an enviable height in his career and a young age and at some point in his life, BenKpo was his own to tweak, twist and turn at will.
However, not many knew about the personality of the Dibia. Though many chose to ignore his two-faced personality and bask in the euphoria of his greatness, others are vagrantly ignorant of his true nature.
For Dibia, his humility and innocence are two great features that have consistently helped him mask his true personality from many people in and outside his community – including his parents.
He appears meek to many but has a very steely resolve such that when he is determined to go through or on any hill, he hardly looks back.
Though Dibia is not the most handsome of all men, his God-given gift has been able to transform his lanky physique to a 6-ft hunk in the minds of his admirers, who are mostly females in the community and beyond.
The Dibia is known to also have a speciality for sowing his wild oats from his youthful days, and even when he was close to his golden age, he didn’t want to slow down. For him, the females are his conquests and as a conqueror with blessings from the gods, he sows from the rising of the sun in the East to the setting of the sun in the West. The North and South of the community are all his conquests – even crossbordering isn’t a new deal to him.
From beautiful and innocent maidens to divorced women, this Dibia from BenKpo keeps conquering with reckless abandon.
At some point, Dibia began to lose his powers and started struggling in his career. In his career and relationship with people, Dibia began showcasing his two-faced personality, hence, losing some of the best team members he once had.
As if that wasn’t an indication that Dibia was losing it fast, the first woman to bore him children – two – kept up with his shenanigans until she no longer could. He was notorious for having two maidens, sometimes married women, fighting themselves to get his attention and his last name.
Sadly, one of the females, who began her life with the Dibia as a maiden and ended up winning several battles while trying to keep his last name was ditched by the famous Dibia after many years of marriage that produced two children.
In his usual character, Dibia ditched the woman for another in a usual yet similar style of leaving a female to move on with another. Some say his inability to stop frolicking with women was the source and strength of his career, others maintained he was just an incurable philanderer, Lothario, letcher and cheat.
After his dalliances with several females across the community, the Dibia decided to settle for a young but divorced offspring of a wealthy and prominent businessman from the Southern part of Benkpo community.
It was that point that his aged mother, who had watched his career grow while breaking many hearts and damaging many female personalities across the length and breadth of BenKpo, decided to wade in.
According to those who witnessed the situation, Dibia’s mother had opined that his spiritually fortified son might have met his waterloo with his latest romance. The mother claimed the young but divorced offspring from a wealthy home had spiritually taken over Dibia to not only keep him to herself but also keep his precious last name.
Those who witnessed the era of the innocent Dibia, claimed that his two-faced personality was his greatest undoing.
