Wole Arisekola celebrates Olubadan over 100 days on throne

Ibadan-born philanthropist and publisher of Ireland-based journal, The Street Journal Magazine, Mogaji Bowale Oluwole Arisekola has extended his heartfelt congratulatory message to the Olubadan of Ibadanland, Oba (Senator) Lekan Balogun on the occasion of his 100 days on the prestigious traditional stool.

The 42nd Olubadan, Oba Balogun was crowned on March 11, 2022, and yesterday Sunday 19th 2022 marks his 100 days on the throne.

Arisekola, a public affairs analyst said:

“I join the entire chiefs of Ibadan land and other high profile Nigerians in felicitating with our Kabiyesi, the Olubadan of Ibadanland, Oba Lekan Balogun as he graciously marks his 100 days on the stool of his forefathers.

“Kabiyesi, you have distinguished your royal stool in many special ways since your inception to the throne in the last three months.
You have been an advocate of excellent values, religious tolerance, peaceful coexistence and dialogue among the people and you have also used your aura, exposure, and creativity to rebrand the socio-economic and political life of Ibadan, while also engendering social cohesion and mobilisation. Indeed, it is a salute to longevity and sagacity as you mark this 100 days in office.

Mogaji continued, “Since ascension to the throne, Kabiyesi you have succeeded in raising the status and reckoning of the Ibadan people and you have portrayed yourself as one of Nigeria’s greatest monarchs within this shortest period of your reign.

“You have further portrayed yourself as a philosopher and social scientist, your fame and popularity are increasingly extending beyond the shores of Nigeria. The Omoluabi virtues in you are absolutely incomparable. I am truly proud of you sir and may God bless your reign with more prosperous and healthy years. Congratulations” Arisekola said.
