Floyd Mayweather Jr. is set to return to the ring next month, according to reports.

On May 14, Mayweather will headline “The Global Titans Fight Series” in an eight-round exhibition bout against “Dangerous” Don Moore. The battle will take place on a Dubai helicopter landing pad.

Anderson Silva, a former UFC champion, will also be on the card to face Bruno Machado.

This will be Mayweather’s first boxing contest since his June 6 fight with Logan Paul, a former YouTube celebrity. Because it was an exhibition fight, no winner was proclaimed, but Mayweather let the amateur fight all the way to the end.

Recall that Mayweather retired from boxing in 2017 with a 50-0 record. Conor McGregor was his most recent official opponent. The 45-year-old is one of the most lucrative pay-per-view draws of all time, and when he returns in May, he will undoubtedly draw a large audience.

The fact that the event will take place “outside on the Burj Al Arab Hotel, one of UAE’s top hotels.” will add to the interest the bout will effectively generate for the organisers and it is believed to be a strategic part of the entire exhibition.

Moore is unbeaten, having a record of 18-0-1 and 12 KOs. It is unclear whether or not his battle with Mayweather will be judged in order to select a winner.

Meanwhile, Silva, regarded as one of the best MMA fighters of all time, will be fighting for the first time since knocking out Tito Ortiz in the first round in September. Prior to that, he defeated Julio Cesar Chavez Jr. in a split-decision victory in June.

On the card will also include Badou Jack, a former world champion in two weight classes. He has a 25-3-3 record with 15 knockouts.
