Portable knocks out Speed Darlington in boxing match, receives N20m gift from Burna Boy

Nigerian music star, Damini Ogulu, popularly known as Burna Boy, has rewarded controversial singer Habeeb Okikiola, also known as Portable, with N20 million following his triumph over rapper Speed Darlington in a celebrity boxing match.

The highly publicised match, dubbed “Chaos In The Ring,” was held on April 18, 2025, at the Balmoral Convention Centre in Lagos State.

Portable delivered a dominant performance, eventually emerging as the winner, while Speed Darlington sustained a shoulder injury during the match and had to be assisted into an ambulance after the fight.

Confirming the generous gesture, Portable shared news of the cash gift through the Insta-stories section of his verified Instagram account.

He wrote, “N20million from Burna Boy, if you wanna be like Odogwu, can you do like Odogwu. God bless your family.”

The gift comes amid a long-standing feud between Burna Boy and Speed Darlington.

Speed Darlington had previously accused Burna Boy of allegedly having an inappropriate connection with American rapper, Shawn ‘Diddy’ Combs, to secure his Grammy award.
