Tinubu’s daughter-in-law says D’banj’s action is appalling

Asiwaju Bola Ahmed Tinubu’s daughter-in-law, Layal Jade Tinubu has taken a swipe at D’banj saying his action is appalling after the rape allegation.

Layal remarked after D’banj shared a video on his Instagram page with the caption, “Innocent until proven guilty…., “STOP SOCIAL MEDIA TRIAL #SAY NO TO RAPE AND HUMAN RIGHTS VIOLATION.”

The video, which had D’banj miming to one of his top hits, ‘Olorun Maje’, got to the bad side of Layal who took to the comment section to register her displeasure.

She wrote, “This is appalling behaviour, truly.

Layal Tinubu is the wife of Tinubu’s son, Seyi Tinubu. The pretty woman is also the brain behind Tots Toys, a children’s educational toyshop, and learning space.

Layal had remarked after other Nigerian celebrities shared their different opinions in the comment section.

Nollywood actress, Biodun Okeowo aka Omo Borty had also commented on D’banj’s video saying, “God will surely vindicate you provided you’re accused wrongly.”

D’banj’s reaction is coming a week after he had spoken about the rape allegation and had deleted the Instagram post.

On June 3, 2020, D’banj had been accused of rape after sharing an Instagram post to support the fight against rape and sexual abuse.

The alleged victim, Seyitan Babatayo, had revealed to the world that she was indeed raped by D’banj in a tweet.

The Inspector-General of Police had since shown interest in the matter instructing a proper and thorough investigation be conducted.
