Carabao Cup: Kelechi Iheanacho eyes 10th game amidst ex-girlfriends drama
Kelechi Iheanacho is hoping to make his 10th Carabao Cup appearance amidst ex-girlfriends drama.
The 23-year-old Nigerian international is hoping to make his 10th appearance at the tournament when Leicester City hosts Aston Villa at the King Power Stadium on Wednesday, January 8.
Iheanacho, an unused substitute in Leicester City’s 2-0 triumph over Wigan Athletic last weekend, is hoping he makes it to the field of play despite the expected return of Jamie Vardy to the starting line-up.
Iheanacho first won the Carabao Cup in 2016 with Manchester City.
His compatriot, Wilfred Ndidi, is expected to make his seventh appearance in the tournament when the Foxes take on Villa.
Meanwhile, on Tuesday, January 7, Iheanacho was in the news for allegedly dumping two of his girlfriends to marry his pregnant partner Amaka who is an Irish-Nigerian.
The player was called out by friends of her ex-lovers, who claim the Leicester forward met Amaka on Instagram in February 2019 while he was in a relationship with two other women – Amarachi and Chioma.
