Felabration 2022: Organisers call for entries to artwork, Afrobics dance competitions

In anticipation of Felabration 2022, this is a call for entries to artists and dancers and to come and participate in these events.

Over the years in the world of arts, dance, and entertainment generally Felabration has provided a platform to stardom for young creatives and Felabration’s website is rich with images and videos from these events. The competitions are a fantastic opportunity for global recognition and as always there are loads of cash prizes to be won.

The submission portals for both competitions open on June 15, 2022, and close on July 31, 2022. The competitions are open to contestants and participants worldwide.

The exhibition of the artwork and selection of the winners of the Felabration Artwork Competition as it is known will be held at the New Afrika Shrine. The theme for this year’s competition is the same as the Felabration theme song  Fear not for man.

Returning judges include Prince Yemisi Shyllon, Otunba Mufu Onifade, and Sarah Boulos, highly regarded personalities and experts in the art world.
The different stages of the Felabration Afrobics dance competition will also take place at the New Afrika Shrine.

Returning and new judges include the acclaimed and world famous dancers and experts Funke Kuti, Segun Adefila, Don Flexx, Jeffrey Daniels and Kaffy. Contestants will perform their choice of songs from the vast catalogue of the late Fela Anikulapo-Kuti including this year’s theme song ”Fear not for man”.

Other events lined-up for Felabration 2022 include Secondary Schools Debate, FELA DEBATES, Dress Like Fela Day, 7 days of Music Concerts featuring Nigerian and International artistes and Felabration Ladies Webinar.
