Ganduje installs Bayero after dethroning Sanusi

Kano State Government has installed Aminu Ado Bayero as the new Emir of Kano few hours after announcing the removal of Muhammad Sanusi II.

The new Emir of Kano, Bayero is the son of late Emir Ado Bayero. Until his new appointment, he was the emir of Bichi, one of the four newly created emirates – Karaye, Gaya, Rano and Bichi.

Secretary to the State Government, Usman Alhaji, announced Bayero’s appointment on Monday, saying it takes immediate effect.

Section 11 (1) of the Law has empowered the governor to appointment Alhaji Aminu Ado Bayero as the emir of Kano,” Usman Alhaji said.

Mr Alhaji said the four kingmakers of Kano emirate recommended Bayero’s appointment as the emir of Kano.

Bayero is a graduate of Mass Communication from Bayero University, Kano.
