GTCO Fashion Weekend 2025 kicks off today

Lagos is buzzing with excitement as the GTCO Fashion Weekend 2025 kicks off today, November 8th, and runs until tomorrow, November 9th, at the GT Centre, Plot 1 Water Corporation Drive, Oniru, Victoria Island. This eighth edition of Africa’s biggest fashion event promises to be an unforgettable experience, showcasing the best of African fashion, creativity, and entrepreneurship.

The two-day extravaganza features 12 runway shows, masterclasses, and retail exhibitions, highlighting the innovation and diversity of African fashion. Internationally renowned designers, including Bianca Saunders, Jade Oyateru, and Melissa Butler, will share their expertise and insights on the business of fashion.

Some of the top designers taking the runway include ItuenBasi, The Ben Collective, SevonDejana, Mmuso Maxwell, Mowalola, Priya Ahluwalia, Tongoro Studio, TaAdesola, ImaneAyissi, Patrick McDowell, Stella Jean, and Charlie Harrison. Fashion enthusiasts will get to witness cutting-edge collections that capture the creativity and craftsmanship of designers from across Africa, Europe, and beyond.

The event is themed “Fashion is Freedom,” celebrating individuality and self-expression through fashion. As Segun Agbaje, Group CEO of GTCO, puts it, “Our focus remains promoting enterprise, through bringing together emerging and established voices in fashion, we will continue to highlight the ingenuity and diversity that define African creativity.”
