Nigerian international, King Udoh contracts Coronavirus in Italy

Nigerian international footballer, King Udoh has contracted the deadly disease, coronavirus, in Italy, where he plays professional football.

Udoh has been announced as the first professional football player to be diagnosed with Coronavirus in Italy after he tested positive on Thursday, February 27.

The 22-year-old Udoh, who is a striker with Pianese, a Tuscan club playing in Serie C, has since been moved to the infectious disease department of La Scotte hospital in Siena.

Punch reports that the player placed himself in quarantine last weekend, after feeling feverish.

Udoh was scheduled to play last Sunday, February 23 with his team against Juventus’ U-23 team but missed the game to take care of himself.

The revelation about Udoh’s current medical condition has seen the entire Pianese team being quarantined as a precaution.
