Olamide: D’Banj and Don Jazzy motivated me through MoHits
Olamide has sent an appreciation out to top Nigerian music giants, D’Banj and Don Jazzy, for motivating him through their defunct record label, MoHits.
On Tuesday, May 26, Olamide expressed his gratitude to the popular entertainers for paving the way with their talents for a decade.
“Even if they never come back together, still I say thanks to Jazzy (Don Jazzy) n Banga (D’Banj) n rest of the team for motivating us,” he tweeted through his official Twitter handle, @Olamide.
The rapper went on to say that D’Banj and Don Jazzy co-owned record label, MoHits, which is now defunct, is one of the best things to happen to the Nigerian music scene.
“Mo hits is still one of the best things to ever happen to NIG music industry. Gave us good music and taught us how to carry our brothers along,” he tweeted.
The Goldberg and Monster ambassador further noted that having tough guys in any industry should motivate everyone to work harder and better.
He wrote, “Nothing spoil to have tuff guys in your field of work. It’s meant to motivate you to work harder n be better at what you do not otherwise.”
Olamide was recently revealed as the ambassador for the phone brand, iTel Nigeria. The fee for his engagement was not disclosed but sources put it at over N70 million.
This is coming a few weeks after another big music star, Wizkid was unveiled as the brand ambassador for Tecno at an undisclosed signing off fee.
In 2018, Davido was unveiled as the brand ambassador for Infinix Nigeria with a sign off fee touted as one of the biggest for any Nigerian celebrity.
