Toke Makinwa confirms pregnancy, unveils baby bump

Media personality and actress Toke Makinwa has announced that she is expecting her first child.

In an emotional Instagram post on Wednesday,  Makinwa described the news as the “biggest project” of her life and the “highest calling ever,” reflecting on how much her life has changed in the past year.

“Dear God, you did this one; you have completely changed my life. You opened this door that nobody can shut,” she wrote, expressing gratitude for what she called God’s perfect timing.

The former radio host and lifestyle entrepreneur said the journey to motherhood has been one of patience and personal growth.

“All that time, I was convinced you had forgotten me. I didn’t understand why it took so long, but now I see it. You worked on my heart posture to get me ready for the biggest blessing and the highest calling,” she added.

Makinwa, who has built a career spanning radio, television, and business, said this new role as a mother “trumps it all.”

Sharing her excitement to meet her child, she wrote: “My bug, I cannot wait to meet you. You’ve made me the happiest person on earth, baby. Thank you for choosing me… the answer to my prayers.”

She concluded her post by encouraging her followers to trust in God’s timing, declaring: “My healed pain will break someone else’s chain… My season is here.”

The announcement was accompanied by a heartwarming video showing her cradling her baby bump.
