Tunde Bakare bows out of church ahead of 2023 presidential election

Pastor Tunde Bakare, General Overseer and senior pastor of The Citadel Global Community church aka Latter Rain Assembly, has bowed out of the ministry.

Bakare, who had been speaking of receiving revelation that he would be the 16th president of Nigeria – to succeed President Muhammadu Buhari – announced his decision to bow out at a valedictory service held for him at the church’s auditorium on Oregun area of Lagos on Sunday, April 24, 2022.

The valedictory service had dignitaries and top members of the ministry in attendance.

Bakare is yet to declare the political party he would be contesting on but has consistently expressed his will to lead Nigeria saying he has been told by God to lead the country.

In 2011, Bakare ran as President Muhammadu Buhari’s running mate under CPC for the presidential election.
