Twitter takes down VP Osinbajo’s tweet for copyright infringement of Beyonce’s song

Social network company, Twitter, has taken down a post made by Vice President Yemi Osinbajo, due to a Copyright Infringement of Beyoncé’s song.

In a tweet dated March 8, Osinbajo shared a tweet to commemorate the 2021 International Women’s Day. The song used for the video was Run the World by Beyoncé.

A Twitter user simply known as Olayinka, called the award winning singer’s attention to it and accused Osinbajo of never properly doing his job.

She wrote, Ma’am @Beyonce, Nigeria’s current Vice President who has never properly done his job has used your song without permission, ask Jack your good friend to take care of his account in accordance with DMCA violation penalties.”

The tweet was taken down by Twitter afterwards.
