Ben Bruce-Murray loses brother-in-law to COVID-19

Showbiz impresario and ex-Senator, Ben Murray-Bruce, has lost his brother-in-law to the fangs of Coronavirus aka COVID 19 months after losing his wife, Evelyn Bruce, to cancer.

Ben Bruce shared the sad news of his brother-in-law, Dr David Hargett’s, passing away on his Twitter handle on Saturday, 29 August, 2020.

Dr David Hargett, older brother of my late wife Evelyn died this morning from complications of COVID 19. In 5 months, three children have died. The Hargett’s had ten children. I will miss him.” he tweeted

The Senator lost his wife, Evelyn, to cancer in March this year. Bruce, who announced her demise via Twitter, said he is broken and devastated by the passing of his wife of 41 years.

He described her as a “blessing” who “touched the lives of everyone she met”.

I’m broken. Just lost my beautiful wife to cancer. She was my best friend for 43 years and my wife for 41 years. Cancer is real, but it shouldn’t be a death sentence – awareness, and early detection and treatment are key to survival. I miss her so so much. I’m broken,” he tweeted.

“Our children are devastated, I am too. But I have to be strong for them. Please put our family in your prayers. Like the sun, my wife was a blessing and touched the lives of everyone she met. Though she’s gone, she’d remain alive in our hearts forever.”
