Organizers of the Headies Awards have disqualified upcoming singer, Habeeb Okikiola aka Portable, from the list of nominees.

The ZaZoo Zeh singer was nominated in the ‘Rookie of the Year’ and ‘Best Street-Hop Artiste’ categories respectively.

A statement issued by the organisers on Tuesday said Portable was disqualified from the forthcoming 15th Headies Award due to his unruly attitude.

Part of the statement reads: “We regret to announce that the following indictment statements made by Mr Habib Okikiola popularly known as Portable and incessant negative attention that Mr Okikiola has garnered from the Nigeria Police and the general public in recent times, the organisers of the Headies have resolved to disqualify Mr Okikiola as a nominee at the forthcoming 15th Headies Award.”
