Keystone bank branch collapses in Lagos, records one death

A Keystone bank branch in Lagos has collapsed with one death recorded.

According to reports, one person was confirmed dead as a the bank’s branch, which was undergoing renovation collapsed in Palmgroove area of Lagos.

The bank branch, it was reported, caved in with the labourer working on the building getting trapped in it on Saturday night, March 7.

The Public Relations Officer of the Lagos State Emergency Management Agency, Nosa Okunbor, confirmed the incident saying that the agency was on the ground trying to recover the remains of the dead person.

He said, “An unidentified man was killed in the collapse. Our men are currently at the Keystone Bank.

As at the time of this report, officials of LASEMA, police, Lagos State Building Control Agency have cordoned-off the area with operations still ongoing.
