One of Femi Otedola’s daughters, Temi Otedola has gotten her first acting role in Kunle Afolayan’s new film project, ‘Citation’.
Temi announced her incursion into acting with a mission to make her debut in a Nollywood in 2021.
Speaking on the movie role, Otedola said, “When I heard about the movie and not just the movie but that there was a character about my age that the film follows her story and the story is relevant but not just relevant but relatable to so many ladies, I just jumped at it but the process wasn’t an easy one and I had to go through it all.
“Words cannot express how excited I am to finally announce that I will be starring in ‘Citation’, legendary filmmaker Kunle Afolayan’s next feature film. Humbled to be shooting alongside legends of the film in my on-screen debut.“
Expected to join Temi Otedola on the set of the film are Jimmy Jean Louis, Sadiq Daba, and Gabriel Afolayan.
Addressing the media on Thursday, January 9, Afolayan said he is set – after pre-production which started in October 2018 – for five weeks of the shoot, beginning on January 10, 2020, through February 15, 2020, in three countries.
Afolayan also noted that his company is partnering Ford Foundation on the project which has been designed to propel women to aspire to become successful leaders by providing counterexamples to negative gender stereotypes.
