COVID-19 scare rocks Polaris bank as staff grumble

Some members of the staff of Polaris bank – formerly Skye Bank – are unhappy over a coronavirus scare rocking a branch of the bank.

According to inside sources, the bank’s branch and corporate office situated on 28, Churchgate Street, Victoria Island, has witnessed murmurs from members of staff who are worried about the allegation that some staff had contracted the deadly virus.

The coronavirus scare news began in the last days of January 2021 and the first week of February 2021 saw many members of staff feeling agitated.

An inside source alleged that a member of staff working on the first floor of the building housing a Polaris banking hall and corporate office caught the virus.

It was further alleged that the bank immediately swung into action by disinfecting the entire floor that was affected.

However, the concerned staff was agitated as only a corner of the floor was shutdown despite sharing the same bathroom and kitchenette.

The scare has been the hottest gist in the building since February 1, 2021, all through to February 5, 2021.

Efforts to reach the corporate communications department of the bank proved abortive.
